Quinta De Travassinhos in the mesmerizing Douro Valley exceeded all expectations with its stunning vineyards, spacious rooms, and warm hospitality. the hosts, Helena and Ricardo, made us feel like part of their family, ensuring our every need was met. the enchanting estate, filled with family antiques and modern amenities, provided a perfect balance of comfort and luxury. the outdoor pool overlooking the valley was a true oasis on hot summer days. Our room, with a private entrance and balcony offering mountain views, was elegantly decorated and equipped with all the essentials, including a cozy seating area and a flat-screen TV. the attention to detail, from the sumptuous bathrobes to the soundproofing for a peaceful night's rest, was truly commendable. the property's vast grounds, including hiking trails and a garden with an inviting pool, offered a serene retreat from the bustling city life. Each morning started with a delicious breakfast spread featuring fresh local produce and homemade delicacies. the Querkum Restaurant, with its panoramic views of the vineyards, served up delectable dinners cooked with organic ingredients. the personal touch extended to the evening wine selection recommended by the charming sommelier, Johan, adding an extra flair to our dining experience.
